Also, My folders show a person icon on the right side of the folder icon. Same thing. A How do I know if the files are really being shared or not, B How can I tell who the shared person is, and C How do I get rid of the icons indicating that the files are shared if they are not.

Thanks much. Hope that helps! What could the problem be? I created a new folder inside a shared Google folder. I messed up and put in some files that were not ready to be shared. Now, if I try to delete the files and put in the correct ones, it says that the collaborators still have access to the wrong ones.

I really just want everyone to have access to the right ones without being confused about which one to click on. Even if I create a new folder at this point and delete the entirety of the old one, it will still leave the old folder in their drives, right?

Is there a way to delete everything for everyone and start again? That should work and save you a lot of headache. I created a form and shared the response spreadhseet with others. They are supposed to be able to view images that are uploaded via the form, but cannot. I gave editor and folder permissions — but the images are saving outside of the folder, and no one is able to see the images. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I keep getting a pop up message asking me if I want My Files to see, edit, create, etc.

This is not something I want to do at this time but clicking on Deny does not stop the message from always popping up.

Is there some way I can stop the message? Thanks for all this great info! Depends on the permission level the company gave when sharing the file, but if you made a local copy and then uploaded it to your Gdrive, yes the file should still be there.

Thanks in advance for any tips you may have. Back story: I created an anonymous Google account including name and email. Content from this account will be shared on a Facebook group that I administrate. I have two other admins that I have shared my folders with at their personal google accounts. Those two group admins will have full editor access to Google folders. Those with view only access show up as an animal avatar. Is there another way in Goolge to have anonymity for editors?

Is there another cloud service that may be better? Anyone with view access only link can see who file owner and editors are under the details info.

As well, any restructuring of the files can will be visible.
